Citizenship Application in France

1. Anyone who does not have the right to reside in France, such as non-EU Citizens, and even those who may reside here legally - such as EU citizens - may consider it preferable to make an application for citizenship.

   1. You were born abroad, and you have lived in France legally for a minimum of 5 years
   2. You marry a French citizen and remain married for a minimum of 4 years
   3. By simpler declaration process if you are over the age of 65 and are the parent or grandparent of French children, and have lived here for 25 years

• Prove sufficient knowledge of the French language.
