Important Note: Due to constant delays and failures by AIMA to provide appointments to applicants as a result of policital disputes in the Portuguese Parliament regarding the issuing of family reunification visas, our associated lawyers are assisting clients who require this service by filing a law-suit to obtain a Court order to compel AIMA to provide the required appointment. This usually takes a couple of months, but is currently the only sure way to obtain the appointments necessary to obtain a residency permit for qualifying family members.
The Family Reunification Visa Portugal is designed for:
- Family members of legal residents in Portugal, including spouses, dependent children (biological or adopted), dependent parents, and siblings under 18.
- Individuals in a de facto union, and their dependent children or parents, provided they are financially supported by the couple.
