Simone, Lawyer in Portugal

Simone is very flexible and we will be utilising her services again for other members of our family over the next year or so

I am a PhD student and in the context of the Corona outbreak, I wanted some of my administrative work to be done by an English expert lawyer at the Lisbon area. I corresponded with more than ten law firms or independent lawyers and received about eight proposals, but I found Advocate Abroad's interaction model to be more professional than the others.

I read texts praising Simone on the site and chose her. I am very satisfied with my choice. I needed my chosen lawyer to answer my many questions, correspondences, and ambiguities, despite her busy schedule, and Simone did so quickly. Simone did my request very accurately and quickly before receiving the payment.

I will definitely re-elect her for any possible future task because she is very professional and masterful of her profession and works under the management of a network of the best law professionals at a reasonable cost.

There were many unforseen problems due to the covid and recent changes in requirements from Portugal but Simone was able to do a great job in seeing things through in these difficult times.

In short, everything was good about the service received!

As an expatriate with residence in Indonesia I had originally planned to register as a European in Portugal by travelling from UK in 2019. I was unsure about trying again in 2020 due to the onset of coronavirus/ associated restrictions but by October with the Brexit transition fast expiring and no sign of the crisis abating, as a last resort I contacted several lawyers in Portugal.
Of these Simone was by far the most responsive, replying to emails within 24 hours, providing clear and concise answers to my many questions and demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of my particular situation/ circumstances.

She was always positive and ultimately convinced me that undertaking the journey would be worthwhile despite travel restrictions/ costs involved.

Simone is a consummate professional -acting on my behalf she obtained/ forwarded a tax number before I left, while her efforts dealing with Cascais SEF ensured it took just 30 minutes to complete the registration process. She is very knowledgeable re all immigration/related matters, providing useful advice/ potential solutions in areas such as exchanging driving licence, importing a car, opening a bank account, social security, obtaining NOR status., even dentistry.

She is not only approachable but personable, friendly and extremely helpful -nothing was too much trouble. During the last few days of my stay she arranged an appointment/ transport for PCR test, a driver to show me the sights in/ around Lisbon (which was very enjoyable) and provide a lift to the airport at 6am.

While all Portuguese lawyers I dealt with in Oct/ Nov quoted the same fee I suspect few would provide a level of service comparable to Simone who was certainly good VfM. I would not hesitate to contact her again/ recommend her to others.

Simone has been extremely responsive in answering all my communications through email and Whatsapp. She managed to provide all my family members with NIF numbers very quickly.
